What your kids search for on the internet | Youtube, Google and Sex
by c24delta on Sep.02, 2009, under Archive
The most popular search term was YouTube, where children go for snippets ranging from Japanese anime to silly viral videos.
Google and popular social-networking service Facebook were the second and third top search terms respectively.
“Sex” came in fourth, just ahead of social-networking service MySpace.
“Porn” was the sixth most common query.
When “Sex” and “Porn” 4th and 6th place search queries are combined you get a much higher ranking. This is evidence that teens are curious and seek more information about sex in general.
So when you are debating about when to have that talk about sex with your children keep in mind that they might know more then you think.
The top ten search terms are:-
1. YouTube
2. Google
3. Facebook
4. Sex
5. MySpace
6. Porn
7. Yahoo
8. Michael Jackson
9. Fred (children’s character that has become a hit on YouTube)
10. eBay
